Okay so I am officially on my 3rd day of training. No happy trails here, literally. The last two days have been cloudy, drizzly and MUDDY days. I jammed a hat ontop of my head, my cool blue, breathable running shoes and no coat (I get too hot easily) and proceeded to the washed out trails. After about 5 minutes of wet uncomforable skin and a dog-on-leash gone wild I headed back home and jogged IN PLACE - ugghh!! It was boring but kept it up for 15 minutes. Hey I'm a newbie, give me a break! I'll be running pretty good in a few weeks.

As I am training I can't help but wish I had done this earlier so I could have entered the San Antonio Rock 'N Roll Marathon. There should be a great turn out for this event. The proceeds from this marathon will be benefiting a San Antonio Charity called Any Baby Can. This wonderful organization provides comprehensive assistance for the family of children born with a chronic illness, developmental delay, health risk or challenge. Any Baby Can was founded in 1982 and since its inception, has assisted over 14,000 children.
Marathon extras will include a ‘Rock ‘n’ Runway’ style show, pasta party and beverages; plus from what I hear Los Lonely Boys are set to perform!
I'm running out of lunch hour so gotta head back to "the shop". The sun has finally come out today and I am set for a full on beautiful evening jog! My kids will be joining me so this ought to be enjoyable and memorable AND ensure a early "lights out" for them - woo hoo!!! Just saying - so will blog back soon :)
